Laptops are all about keeping mobile. An important piece of gear for the on-the-go user is a great bag or backpack to carry your computer and all the other stuff you need throughout your day. The Ogio Newt 15 meets those needs with a size that seems small, but can actually hold a lot of stuff!

Ever wish for a tablet stand that's easy to carry with you and can even slip into your pocket? We got our hands on a 3D-printed prototype of the Plinth, now on Kickstarter, and it looks like it might just be the solution to that particular problem. It folds down flat and at the touch of a button (one-handed operation!) it can go to one of three different viewing angles. The backing level on Kickstarter that will put one of these in your hands is £18 (about $30 USD). http://kck.st/1coiW57

We love sit-stand desks at the Geek House, so when we had a chance to try out the Jarvis Desk from Ergo Depot we were all over it. The Jarvis Desk is a heavy duty desk that will hold (and lift) up to 350 pounds. The control panel allows you to program up to four preset heights, and the height range is between 25.5 inches and 51 inches, with a movement speed of 1.5 inches per second. If you're thinking about a sit stand desk you should definitely take a look at the Jarvis Desk.

An awesome moment happened during the Geek House Grand Opening when Leo Laporte, Alex Lindsay and Dan Pidgeon joined us for the big show. We talked with Leo and Alex about the growth of tech video on the web, and how things have changed since the "old days", and Dan took a break from his vacation to come see our new home.

The Apple TV is a very handy device for streaming stuff from your Mac to your TV. But what if you want to do that from a Windows computer? Well, you might be out of luck. Unless you use AirParrot, an awesome app for Windows or Mac that makes screen mirroring to your Apple TV easy! It even adds options on a Mac that aren't available in OS X! This is a must-have app if you use an Apple TV!

There are a number of streaming TV options out there, and so when we checked out the Fire TV, we didn't expect to like it as much as we did. But it's actually pretty great, and we're using it more often than we thought we would. Now, Amazon has packed a LOT of that same functionality into the much smaller and cheaper Fire TV Stick.

When our friends at Elite Screens heard about our new Geek House, they knew we'd need some projection screens, and they just sent over some awesome ones. The 135-inch model from the Starling Tension Series will be mounted in our big central room, where it will roll down from the ceiling by remote control. They also sent us the Insta-DE Series wall coverings that will turn all the walls in the conference rooms into white boards and projections screens. We'll be able to use them for both!

We've really been enjoying the standing desks around the studio recently, and here's another one for those of you who use Apple computers: the Ergotron WorkFit-A (the A is for Apple). The Workfit-A is a workstation arm that can hold your iMac or or Apple display and allow you to move it wherever you need it. There's even a tray for your keyboard and mouse.

Guitar Hero and Rock Band are great games, but they don't really teach you how to play an instrument. Rocksmith does. This game for Xbox 360, PS 3, or PC uses the familiar method of running a rock song that you have to play along with to get points. But the twist here is that you plug a real guitar into the game system and have to learn correct fingerings to make the right chords. Play the song correctly and you'll score big!

RavPower's new Qi-enabled battery backup lets you wirelessly charge your Qi-compatible devices on the go. When the device is plugged in, it operates as a standard charger, filling up whatever phone or tablet you put on it. And when you remove the device, the RavPower battery tanks up as well, so you'll have it available to take with you on the go.

Tablets are great and can be a good way to ditch the laptop when you're trying to travel light, but there's one big problem - typing full documents on a screen just isn't as easy as on a keyboard. Enter the BrydgeAir, a keyboard for iPads that turns your tablet into a easy-to-carry productivity machine. We've told you about the Brydge before (we loved it), but that was for the iPad2, 3, or 4 form factor. The BrydgeAir brings that same great usability to the iPad Air and Air 2.

The Ford F-150 truck has been around for years, but looking at the 2015 model it feels completely new. Ford has redesigned a ton of features on the truck, such as making all the body structures from a nice, heavy-duty aluminum. They've also added a bunch of cameras and sensors to control external lights and collision avoidance systems. There's even a little camera right under the Ford logo on the grill to help with parking in tight spaces.

John and Rene talked to Alex Hsu of Wagan about their Tech Travel/Charge Quad Power Hub series. It gives you 4 USB power ports. They'll power up to 4 iPads through the cigarette lighter, and installs easily into the car. It's available for $35. http://www.wagan.com/
